How it Began

Ananya began its journey in the year 2008, inspired by the personal experiences I had with my son, Varun. Born in 1998, Varun was a healthy child, but by 2001 it became apparent that something was amiss – he wasn’t speaking. A couple of years of research led me to the realization that Varun had autism. Finding an accommodating educational environment was a challenge, as many schools were unequipped to handle children with special needs.

Varun’s journey in the mainstream school system ended in 2008 and thus, Ananya was born. Ananya was never intended to be a conventional school, but a learning center dedicated to children with special needs or children who learn differently. Ananya was conceived to provide a space where every child could learn in the way they are most comfortable with, diverging from the one-size-fits-all approach.

How it Began

How its Going

Over the past years, Ananya has dedicated itself to empowering children with special needs and building their confidence. We believe in helping children overcome their challenges and unlock their potential, rather than trying to ‘fix’ them.

Under one roof, Ananya offers an array of services like speech and language therapy, sensory integration therapy, occupational therapy, auditory integration therapy, and unique offerings such as art therapy. These services aim to ensure a comprehensive approach towards each child’s development.

We also provide support for parents and continuous learning opportunities for professionals. Additionally, our partnerships with international experts in child development have allowed us to invite specialists from around the world, enhancing our services and offerings.

Where It's Going

As for the future of Ananya, I envision it to be an inclusive and empowering hub that continuously evolves to cater to the needs of neurodiverse children. We plan on strengthening our international partnerships and inviting more experts from different parts of the world to provide world-class standard services.

We are also working on extending our services to reach more parents and professionals, helping them to understand and cater to neurodiverse children more effectively. We believe in a world that values and cherishes neurodiversity, and Ananya will keep working towards making that a reality.
