Andrew Nelson, Ed.D., CCM is the Senior Director of the Autism Response Team (ART) at Autism Speaks, where he and his team provide best-in-class information, referral, and navigation support for the autism community across the United States. Dr. Nelson, a Certified Case Manager, has worked locally and globally to help grow autistic leadership, train others in self-advocacy principles, support parents and educators, and teach theatre-based approaches to build self-confidence. He founded Autism Community Consultants, a diverse team working with emergency medical professionals, educators, and communities to build better systems of support for autistic individuals and families.
