Description

Ananya’s journey began in 2008, inspired by founder Madhavi Adimulam’s experiences with her son Varun. Born in 1998, Varun was healthy until 2001 when it became apparent he wasn’t speaking. After discovering he had autism, Madhavi struggled to find accommodating educational environments in India. Frustrated by mainstream schools unprepared for special needs, she took Varun out of school in 2008 and created a space that could support his needs. Ananya was born not as a conventional school, but as a learning centre where every child could learn comfortably, not through one-size-fits-all approaches.

Today, Ananya empowers children with special needs across five centres in Hyderabad and Bangalore, with four centres in Hyderabad. We offer speech and language therapy, sensory integration, occupational therapy, auditory integration therapy, and innovative approaches like art therapy. Our philosophy recognises each child’s unique potential rather than trying to ‘fix’ them. We partner closely with parents, providing guidance and support, understanding their involvement is key to growth. With continuous learning opportunities for our team and relationships with international experts, we maintain world-class best practices. Guided by core values of Safety, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Performance Excellence, we’ve supported over 100,000 children and their families in building confidence and unlocking potential.

Key point

Ananya was born from personal experience, not as a business. Founded by Madhavi for her son Varun, we understand the parent journey intimately. We empower children rather than ‘fixing’ them, partner with families rather than just treating children, and continuously update methods through international expert collaborations. Our 25-year methodology is refined through 100,000+ cases.

We serve children with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and other related conditions. Our approach is individualised – we assess each child’s unique profile and create personalised intervention plans regardless of diagnosis.

Parent partnership is central to our model. We train parents in evidence-based techniques they practise daily at home. This accelerates progress and builds permanent family capacity. You’re not outsourcing intervention – you’re gaining expert guidance to become your child’s lifelong support.
Yes. We maintain relationships with international child development experts who regularly visit Ananya to train our team. We research emerging methodologies, attend global conferences, and adapt evidence-based practices to the Indian context. Our 25 years of experience combined with global knowledge exchange ensures world-class intervention locally.
We envision Ananya as an inclusive hub that continuously evolves to serve neurodiverse children across India and globally. We’re strengthening international partnerships, expanding online programmes, training more professionals, and working toward a world that values neurodiversity. Our goal is systemic change – not just helping individual children, but transforming societal understanding.
